Happy New Year!

So it's been a while since I've posted on the blog. Happy New Year to everyone!

Jade is moving to Sweden in May so we will be on a hiatus from then..... the exciting news is though that before she leaves we are recording and releasing an album. It should be out in April and we will be playing a couple of final shows, one in Wellington and one in Auckland.

New Years Eve

Come along to the Gunslingers Ball on New Years Eve. The Wildwood Lights are playing and Gwen is playing bass for them. The Situations, the Grifters and Heart Attack Alley are also playing. Should be very fun!

Show with Fabulous Diamonds

Hey,

We are playing a show with Fabulous Diamonds and Sam Hamilton this Friday the 10th at the Wine Cellar. Fabulous Diamonds are this great band from Australia, it's a girl (on drums) and a guy on keys, they both sing. Pitchfork describes it as "head spinny" maybe you can decide for yourself here. I heard their second CD in a record store when I was in Sydney and liked it so much I bought it on the spot. Also, it's a good opportunity to see us because from sometime mid next year we will probably be hiatising for a while.

A Very Little Christmas

We have a song on the A Very Little Christmas, a Christmas compilation album with a whole bunch of songs from lots of different artists including Bearcat, Bannerman, the Crawley Christmas Singers, Timothy Blackman, the Artisan Guns, Cool Rainbows and heaps more. There is an album release party for this at the Wine Cellar on Wednesday the 15th of December. We are playing along with Dear Times Waste, Chelsea Jade and James Duncan and whole bunch of other great bands. Info here

I heard these guys on the radio today. Apparently they are supporting Best Coast on a tour, and I like them a lot.
